BIGRED was paid for and gets upgraded with funds from the Technology Fee
charged with every credit hour of tuition. So, eligibility to create an
account and the duration of that account are tied closely to your student
status. You can get a BIGRED student email account within one business day after becoming eligible to register for classes. After you graduate or stop taking classes for awhile your status will change and you will have to reapply or reactivate your student file to be eligible to register. After two semesters of NOT being eligible to register. Your bigred account will receive an email saying that we want to close your email account. We will give you at least 1 1/2 months before closing the account. This gives you enough time to get another email account and transfer any saved email messages or other files saved on your account. We also realize that during your time as a student many of your contacts in the world might know you only by your BIGRED email address. So, if you have, or get, a new email address just tell us and we will forward any new mail received by your old account to the address you tell us. We will leave that forwarding address in place for one year after closing the account. |
