Bigred's Problem FAQ.

How do I change my email address for the Nformation announcements?

The Student Information System is now using your personal E-mail address for official University communications. Because too many 'official' communications will begin to look like spam the University has restricted access to that address. That means no spammers can use the Public Information Act to request your E-mail address.

Secondly, to get you information about events happening on campus without inundating you with individual E-mails the University has created the weekly Nformation E-mail newsletter. The newsletter is a digest of upcoming events and campus activities. Web links in the newsletter take you to more detailed information.

To add or change your preferred E-mail address:

Click on "Accounts" at the main BIGRED page.

http://bigred.unl.edu
This will take you to the What About Me server (WAM), log in there using your 8-digit NUid number and 4-digit NRoll pin number.

Once logged into WAM, click on 'Addresses' under 'My Records'.

Change the address in the "Personal E-mail Address" box and click on the "Update" button.

The WAM server will send you a verification E-mail to correct mistyped addresses. If you do not receive the verification E-mail go back into WAM and correct the E-mail address.

If you still don't get the verification E-mail them send an E-mail to manager@bigred.unl.edu and we'll figure out what's wrong.
