How do I configure Mozilla Thunderbird to access my BIGRED email account?
Select Email account Press Next
Enter your BIGRED email address (all in lowercase). Press Next
Incoming Server is bigred.unl.edu Outgoing Server is smtp.unl.edu Press Next
Outgoing User Name is also your BIGRED account name Press Next
Press Next
Check Use Password Manager to remember this password. Press OK
"When I delete a message" select Mark it as deleted Note: This mimics the action that Webmail uses. Leave it as Move it to the Trash folder if you do not want Thunderbird and Webmail to behave the same. Press OK
"Place a copy in" select Other › sent-mail on your Thunderbird account name Press OK
User Name Enter your My.UNL username. Use secure connection Select TLS Press OK Press OK
Select Accept this certificate permanently Press OK
Check Use Password Manager to remember this password. Press OK
